IT IS REALLY A SHOCK TO SEE THE CLOSURES IN THE ARUN DISTRICT.
I BOUGHT 4 FAIRLY ORDINARY DRINKS IN A SUSSEX LOCAL RECENTLY - IT COST OVER £13 ( ! )
THE PUBLICAN CHARGES SO MUCH DUE TO LABOUR'S TAX.
UKIP ARE AGAINST THIS SORT OF MEAN SPIRITED TAXATION.
A more workable compromise on the smoking ban could be urgently introduced to save our locals from closure.
SUPERMARKETS ENJOY LOW TAX ON DRINKS - PUBS DO NOT.
HOW CAN THAT BE FAIR ?
THE GOVERNMENT SPEND FREELY ON CAMPAIGNS ABOUT THE ABUSE OF DRINK, THIS MONEY WOULD BE BETTER USED TO
ENSURE POLICEMEN ARE ON THE BEAT AND ABLE TO TAKE THE DRUNK AND VIOLENT OFF THE STREETS.
TOO MUCH LAW BREAKING IS GOING ON IN OUR TOWN CENTRES AT NIGHT,
DRINK SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A REASON TO EXCUSE IT.

2000 local shops are disappearing yearly it is reported.
This is not good news and shows how the government is only interested in big business, or at
least businesses that might donate funds to them ?
There are just too many burdens on small shop keepers, for example sky high prices
for customers to park, employment laws that are packed with red tape and over
costly interpretation of the health and safety regulations.
Business rates, urgently need to be much reduced, to assist the small retailer.
