Lifting people out of poverty
We have the second most complicated tax system in the world.
“If it moves, tax it. If it keeps on moving, regulate it and If it stops moving,
subsidise it.”
It does seem if we are made to live by the above and not by choice.
I believe it was Ronald Reagan that said this, PROBABLY ABOUT SOCIALISM.
Why do we tax savings ? BETTER TO REWARD SAVERS.
Why do we have stamp duty ? I DON'T KNOW AS THIS IS A USELESS TAX.
Why is corporation tax allowed to exist ? TO SCRAP IT WOULD MEAN JOBS.
Why do we not raise the point at which people actually have to pay income tax ? AS THIS WOULD HELP MANY.
Why do we not introduce a single flat rate of tax ? SIMPLE, BUT IT WORKS.
Why is VAT as much as it is ? AT 17.50 % IT IS TOO HIGH, there was no point in the 2.50% brief reduction ( 15% IS THE MINIMUM SAYS BRUSSELS.) Soon a 20% VAT rate is due - this is crazy! Swiss rates are a tiny compared to this.
Why do we make it difficult for businesses to open, flourish and easily hire staff ? ASK ANY TRADER THIS QUESTION.
Why do we feel so weighted down with taxation ? BECAUSE GOVERNMENTS SPEND MUCH TOO MUCH.
Why allow the myth that the state provides wealth to continue ? PEOPLE MAKE WEALTH, IT IS UP TO THE STATE TO ENABLE THEM TO KEEP AS MUCH OF THEIR OWN MONEY AS POSSIBLE.
Why is fuel and food so overpriced ? OVER TAXED FUEL / THE COMMON FISH & AGRICULTURE POLICIES.

this combined with Labours 1997 - 2010 tax and spend policies, this has created the mess we are in.
Are the Conservatives any better ? now in coalition power, will they address these issues?
